Summer Programs

Summer school programs will be operated as an extension of the regular school term to provide courses not available to some students during the school year, or to meet special needs of part or all of the students.

Summer Programs

The Board of Education recognizes that summer programs are a valuable extension of the regular school year and provide an opportunity for students to continue their academic instruction, to meet graduation requirements, to address special needs or concerns, to be involved in work experience programs or to participate in special enrichment and/or innovative classes and activities.

The superintendent shall establish administrative regulations and provide the board with recommendations for summer programs in accordance with statutory requirements, limitations, the Desegregation Settlement Agreement and budgetary considerations. Individual program plans and recruitment efforts will vary from year to year based on the needs of the district and financial resources.
