Equipment, Books and Materials -- Equipment and Supplies

A. Responsibility of Principal

The responsibility for ordering supplies and equipment used in a schools instructional program shall rest with the principal. Supplies stored in the warehouse to be used in the schools are listed on a preprinted requisition.

B. Additional Supplies and Equipment

The principal may order additional supplies and equipment not listed on the preprinted requisition on the Form H requisition. This form shall be sent to the assistant superintendent for approval.

C. Quantity of Supplies in Stock Rooms

The quantity of supplies stored in stock rooms at the school should be kept to a minimum. Principals are to prevent waste and other inefficient use of supplies.

D. Excess Stock

A removal request form should be used to have excess stock and unserviceable stock returned to the warehouse. Excess stock may be returned to the warehouse for credit.

E. Destruction of Supplies

The principal shall not destroy, discard or cause to be destroyed or discarded any supplies or equipment belonging to the Board of Education, except as directed by the superintendent.
