ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE AND SECONDARY

Organizational Plan

The St. Louis school system shall consist of elementary, middle, and high schools. The pattern of school organization shall be K-5, 6-8, 9-12.

ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE AND SECONDARY

Organizational Plan

The superintendent shall organize elementary schools which will enroll students from kindergarten through grade five (5); middle schools for students in grades six (6), seven (7), and eight (8); and high schools for students in grades nine (9) through twelve (12).

The superintendent may recommend that the board extend the organizational plan to include pre-kindergarten centers/classes, consistent with state law and available space and financing.
