ST. LOUIS BOARD OF EDUCATION POLICY STUDENTS ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE, AND SECONDARY Videotaping Educational Programs The Board of Education prohibits non-school personnel from videotaping educational programs in the district, including but not limited to classroom exercises, therapy sessions, and student assignments because the presence of a video recorder will inhibit the free and appropriate discussion necessary for providing an appropriate educational program. Exceptions can be made by the school principal if the prohibition of videotaping impairs a student from receiving a free appropriate public education. All requests to videotape an educational program should be directed to the school principal.
