R5118

ST. LOUIS BOARD OF EDUCATION REGULATION
STUDENTS
ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE AND SECONDARY
Attendance
Non-residents

Non-resident students may be admitted to the St. Louis Public School System in accordance with the provisions of Regulation R5111.1.

Non-resident students, who are not enrolled as a part of the Desegregation Settlement Agreement, may not be admitted to the St. Louis Public Schools except in accordance with Regulation R5118.1 governing the payment of tuition.

Parents living outside the city who pay property taxes to the city are not entitled to send their children to the St. Louis Public Schools tuition-free. Missouri law, however, allows such parents a tuition credit equal to the amount of school tax paid to the St. Louis Public Schools during the previous year.

Principals shall report the names and addresses of all non-resident students paying tuition to the office of financial services when such information is requested on the appropriate form for non-resident students.
