Student Enrollment Projections

The planning division shall be responsible for projecting annual student enrollment.

After the annual student census has been completed, the planning division shall prepare student enrollment projections for the following year. Using the number of live births reported for the City of St. Louis and the current year’s actual enrollment figures, the planning division shall prepare enrollment projections by school, grade level, and race.

Once the initial enrollment projections have been calculated, they shall be reviewed by the appropriate secondary, middle, or elementary assistant superintendent and the principal of each school. If changes are necessary, the planning division will make adjustments before the final projections are completed.

The final enrollment projections shall be distributed for planning purposes to the department of secondary and elementary education, to the Board of Education's department of business and financial services, and the appropriate secondary, middle or elementary office.
