Attendance

Attendance Records -- Record Keeping - Students Entering a School

The principal or his/her representative shall use the procedures and code letters in the current data processing procedure manual for student accounting reports.

A. Original Entry

A student entering a St. Louis Public School for the first time during each school year is an original entry (E).

B. Entry by Transfer

A student who has been enrolled previously during the same school year in another St. Louis Public School is an entry by transfer (ET).

C. Withdrawal and Re-admission

1. Any student returning to a St. Louis Public school where the student has been marked as a withdrawal during the same school year, shall be counted as a re-admission (R).

2. Any student who has attended a St. Louis Public School and been withdrawn and enters another St. Louis Public School during the same school year, is an entry by transfer (ET) in the second school.

a. The principal of the former school shall mark the student as re-admitted and transferred at the same time (RT).
