Age certificates are to be issued in compliance with Missouri statutes. An age certificate may be issued to any child who has passed his sixteenth birthday and who is seeking or has obtained legal employment. To obtain an age certificate, the minor must report to the general educational development (G.E.D.) office and present his/her birth certificate or a notarized statement showing his/her age to be sixteen (16) years or older.
