ST. LOUIS BOARD OF EDUCATION REGULATION Attendance and Excuses -- Excuse for Leaving School or Early Dismissal School officials shall not allow students to leave school before the usual time except for sickness or other sufficient reasons as determined by the school administrator. Except in emergencies, parental permission shall be obtained before dismissing students. In the case of emergency dismissals, school officials shall attempt to notify the parent(s), legal guardian, or other persons identified on school records. Regulation approved: June 26, 1990
