Permanent Employee Status
Community education center coordinators, teachers, aides and student assistants gain permanent employment status consistent with state statutes. The probationary period for all community education center employees is one year unless the employee's performance warrants otherwise. The one-year probationary period for community education center employees, other than coordinators, shall be three consecutive trimesters of work, excluding summer sessions. The three trimesters need not be in the same school year. The probationary period for community education center coordinators is constituted of one calendar year of continuous service. Once permanent, community education center employees may be dismissed only consistent with state standards and a board policy or regulation governing such dismissals.
