EMPLOYEE AND LABOR RELATIONS

The Board of Education recognizes that a free and open exchange of views of its employees is conducive for accomplishing the district's goals. Therefore, within the framework of its statutory authority, the board authorizes the superintendent of schools or his representative to meet and confer with representatives of employee organizations. Upon the recommendation of the superintendent of schools, the board will review proposals discussed with such representatives and may adopt policy statements based on such proposals.

The Board of Education also recognizes that employees are given certain rights and protections under state and federal statutes, and court mandates. Through its policies and administrative regulations, the Board of Education shall ensure their rights and protections.
