Prior Service Credit

All certificated teachers and teacher level personnel appointed with previous recognized teaching or related experience will receive a higher beginning salary in accordance with the promulgated salary schedule for such staff. This regulation is not applicable to principals and/or other personnel at the supervisor/administrator level.

The Division of Human Resources will verify all previous teaching or professional experience. All prior related teaching experience must be verified in order that the Division of Human Resources may establish applicable service for salary purposes. The applicant is responsible for supplying the Division of Human Resources with the necessary documentation for verification.
