COMPENSATION
All Employees
Holidays

All full-time employees shall be entitled to holiday leave with pay or compensatory time off in lieu thereof, on the following days, provided these days are within the employee's scheduled work year:

Jan. 1 (New Year's Day).
3rd Monday in January (Martin Luther King's Birthday).
3rd Monday in February (Washington's Birthday).
Last Monday in May (Memorial Day).
July 4 (Independence Day).
1st Monday in September (Labor Day).

Nov. 11 (Veterans' Day).

4th Thursday of November (Thanksgiving Day).

Friday immediately following Thanksgiving Day.

Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve) shall be declared a holiday when it falls on a work day.

Dec. 25 (Christmas Day).

When one of the above holidays, other than Christmas Eve, falls on Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed as a holiday, and when one of the holidays above, other than Christmas Eve, falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be observed as a holiday.

Designated supervisors shall certify the attendance of their assigned staffs by completing the appropriate staff attendance form(s), and submitting the forms(s) to the payroll office.

All regular employees shall receive holiday leave with pay, provided that they are reported to the payroll office as having worked or in a paid leave status on the workday preceding and the workday following the holiday.

An employee shall not receive salary for a holiday when the holiday occurs during a leave of absence without salary.
