COMMUNITY RELATIONS Access to School Procedures and Materials Ideas, operating procedures, records, and publications developed in or by the school system shall be made available to outside non-profit or profit organizations for use or distribution when such use will reflect favorably upon the school system and the community. No outside organization shall be granted exclusive access to or control over the material made available to it. Records containing privileged or confidential information about staff or pupils will be restricted to the extent permitted by law in the interests of the person or persons involved. The principal shall not permit any person not employed by the Board of Education to gather statistics or research information in the schools without authority from the superintendent of schools or designee. The granting of all requests for information must be consistent with the "Policy on Privacy of Student Records" of the St. Louis Board of Education.
