P1250
PARTICIPATION BY THE PUBLIC Visits to the Schools Visitors to schools are permitted as long as the education program is not disrupted. Teachers are encouraged to become acquainted with the parents of students as an aid in knowing each child's educational, emotional, physical, and social needs. Parents shall be encouraged to visit the school. All persons visiting a school must notify the principal’s office. Individual board members interested in visiting schools or classrooms will make arrangements with the school principals. These visits shall be regarded as informal expressions of interest in school affairs and not as "inspections" or visits for supervisory or administrative purposes.
