COMMUNICATION WITH THE PUBLIC Schools are encouraged to produce their own local newsletters, handbooks, directories, and publications after consultation with the office of public information with regard to problems and practices of public information. All public information shall be developed in accordance with the board's policy to provide information in a format accessible to all members of the public, including individuals with disabilities. Copies of all publications should be sent to the office of public information for informational purposes. The principal of each school is responsible for routine school announcements to parents such as those concerning closing of school, PCAC meetings, clothing and fund drives, lunch tickets, etc. He/she will keep a file copy of all such releases for needed future reference.
