Board Approval

For each construction project, the planning department, at the direction of the superintendent, shall prepare a construction project plan and a budget that will include the estimated cost of the project plus a contingency amount for unexpected charges that may occur during construction.

The construction project plan including the proposed budget shall be presented to the board for approval. Once the project is approved, the superintendent or his/her designees may procure construction management and architect services pursuant to the board policies governing such procurements.
