Equipment, Books and Materials -- Physical Education

The Board of Education recognizes its responsibility to provide suitable, sufficient equipment and materials for the physical education curriculum in grades K-12.

Accordingly, the board recognizes the following areas for which it bears that responsibility:

To ensure that instruction in physical fitness, basic movement, dance, and wholesome physical recreational activities is carried out.

To equip schools for gymnastics, aquatics, and sports.

To equip schools for measuring physical fitness of students.

To nurture the appreciation, practice and application of psychomotor skills with appropriate rooms, gymnasiums, and outdoor activity areas.

Instructional Services
Equipment, Books and Materials -- Physical Education
Within the overall policies of the Board of Education, the physical education facilitator shall:

Determine standard equipment and materials for K-12;

Create and/or approve specifications for physical education equipment and materials;

Approve and generate, when necessary, all purchase orders for physical education equipment and materials.
