ST. LOUIS BOARD OF EDUCATION REGULATION School Calendar -- Summer Programs Although summer schools are not a part of the official school calendar the superintendent may recommend for approval by the board a summer program for students. The recommendation shall include the grades of students to be served, the criteria for eligibility, and the activities to be conducted. The superintendent shall appoint principals, teachers, and other personnel needed to operate summer school(s), adhering to personnel policies of the board. Each summer school principal shall implement procedures that provide for the health, safety, and security of students.
