Notice of Non-Discrimination
The St. Louis City Public School District (District) does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or national guard status, or any other factor prohibited by law in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in its programs and/or activities.
Any persons having inquiries concerning the District’s compliance with Title VI and/or Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and/or the Missouri Human Rights Act is directed to contact the District’s Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, and Section 504/ADA Coordinator who is designated by the Board of Education to coordinate the institution’s compliance with state and federal laws.

This policy shall be disseminated on an annual basis by mailing the notice to all students and staff.
In addition, an abbreviated version of the non-discrimination policy shall be prominently included in all handbooks, directories, manuals, catalogs, websites, application forms, and newspapers which are made available to: Applicants for admission and employment; students and parents of elementary and secondary school students; employees; sources of referral of applicants for admission and employment; students and employee recruits; and all union or professional organizations which hold professional agreements with the-board of education. This abbreviated version shall state as follows:

The District’s Title VI, Title IX, and Section 504/ADA Compliance Coordinator shall:
It is District policy to prohibit discrimination or harassment against any student, employee or applicant for employment based on sex, race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, sexual orientation, perceived sexual orientation, gender identity or any other factor prohibited by law. In addition, the District will not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment on any such basis by employees or any other persons who interact in the workplace, school environment or District-sponsored activities. Students are also prohibited from engaging in discrimination or harassment as defined by Board of Education Policy. Discrimination or harassment on these bases is strictly prohibited on school property, in school transportation, in all academic programs and extracurricular activities and at school-sponsored events and activities, regardless of whether or not the event takes place on District property.
Any employees engaging in prohibited acts of discrimination and/or harassment shall be subject to discipline up to and including termination of employment. Students shall be subject to discipline as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct. Regarding other persons, the District will take action appropriate and necessary to prevent recurrence, which may include banning such persons from District property.
Applicants for admission and employment, students, parents/guardians of students, employees, sources of referral of applicants for admission and employment, and all unions or professional organizations holding collectively bargaining or other professional agreements/memorandums of understanding with the St. Louis City Public Schools are hereby notified that this institution does not discriminate in the admission/access to, or treatment/employment in its programs and activities on the basis of sex, race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, sexual orientation, perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other factor prohibited by law.
The District strictly prohibits all discrimination based on sex, race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other factor prohibited by law, in admission and hiring practices in vocational programs, participation in vocational programs, site selection for vocational programs, guidance services provided for the purpose of counseling students for admission to vocational programs/courses or employment and job placement, cooperative education, work study, or internship agreements with employers.
